Berlin - Kaiser Wilhelm Gegachtnis Kirche

This church monument is one of the most famous sights in Berlin. It was consecrated in 1895 and destroyed by Allied bombing in 1943. After the war all but the tower were removed, in the base of which was built Gendenkhalle (Memorial Hall) which contains a number of original artefacts. In 1963 a new blue glass church and bell tower were designed. As can be seen on our visit the bell tower was covered in scaffolding.
